Great post Dan! I totally agree with #9... me and my wife were there last summer and although we had a great time watching the Mets vs Giants AND the Yankees vs Red Sox (I know! :) ), still one of the fondest memories I have is of a Sunday morning we spent in Central Park, watching a bunch of old guys play baseball. First we were like "Oh that's nice, lets watch for a bit"... next thing we knew we sat there for well over an hour! :)
Anyway, cool to read that you had a great time... you ARE lucky!

Wow you nailed this one, just like the Denver forcing game 7 against the eventual World Champion Lakers. The Giants are good and will be scary next year if they get some hitting. Being a HUGE DODGER FAN (in more than one way), I wish you were right, but this group of Giants is pesky. I hate them, but you have to give credit where credit is due...BOCHY and the scouts. Great job Giants, but I still hope you all burn!!!

Great news, Dodgers just tied up the Giants and knocked out LinceCUM.

Dan,

The Giants success is based on pitching and defense. Therefore the pitchers should be ranked higher than everyday players...

1. Tim Lincecum - The "Freak" is the MVP of the league.
2. Matt Cain - A formidable #2 has gotten run support this season
3. Pablo Sandoval- The best offensive threat on a weak offensive team
4. Brian Wilson - He makes us forget the days of Mr. Benitez.
5. Bengie Molina - Must be given some credit for handling the staff.
6. Randy Johnson - 8 wins at the All-Star break!
7. Jeremy Affeldt- Automatic out of the bully!
8. Edgar Renteria- Not thrilled with his defense;offense is a plus!
9. Aaron Rowand - Needs to hit the cut-off man. Not bad at lead-off
10 Barry Zito - A good #4 starter on an outstanding staff!
