About

Dan Dibley is the Sports/Traffic Anchor on KNBR 680, The Sports Leader in San Francisco. He is widely known for his insights, humorous quips, and vegetarian beliefs. Dan has been a part of the KNBR Morning Show and Gary Radnich Experience since 2005 and is a Bay Area native.

Born in Fairfax in 1968 as the youngest of four children, Dan enjoyed a childhood of popularity and local presitge, riding the coattails of his famous and infamous siblings Mike, Doug, and Gail.

It was during the early days that Dan began his broadcasting career, doing public address announcing for the Fairfax Little League as early as 4 years of age.  His cover photo on the 1975 Little League program remains an artistic tour-de-force.

Dan played 9 years of youth baseball and 6 years in CYO basketball, rarely making all-star teams but always leaving it all on the floor.

He attended high school at both Casa Grande and Marin Catholic before starting his college journey at College of Marin in Kentfield. His collegiate athletic high-water mark came during his sophomore season on the COM tennis team as the team went 24-1, losing in the state quarterfinals.

A broadcast journalism degree was pursued but not attained at Cal State Northridge during five very fun-filled years as a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

After a life-changing tour of Europe and seven incredible years as a physical education aide at Ross School, Dan got his B.A. in broadcasting at San Francisco State.

Dan began his Bay Area media rise as an intern at KRON TV in 1998 and as a production assistant at KCBS radio. These opportunities gave rise to a traffic fill-in job at Metro Networks in 2000.

After matriculating through stations and gigs Metro, Dan joined KNBR in December 2005.

Dan lives in Oakland with his wife and two sons.
